Sharon Draper - Pro Arte

Sharon Draper (cello)



Sharon Draper (cello) is a Core Player of Australia Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra. She has been performing with APA since 2005.

Sharon completed her Bachelor of Music (Hons.) at Melbourne University under the tuition of
David Berlin. She has performed with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra since she was 19 and she now performs with regularly with that group. Sharon has also worked with Orchestra Victoria and The Academy of Melbourne Orchestra.

An active chamber musician, Sharon has been a member of the Tailem Quartet since 2003 which reached the finals of the 2005 Australian National Chamber Music Competition.

Sharon spent the greater part of 2006
studying and performing in Zagreb and Vienna, with teachers Valter Despalj and Howard Penny.

In 2007 Sharon is a member of the
Australian National Academy of Music, furthering her studies with cellist Howard Penny.
