Zoë Knighton is a Core Player with Melbourne Chamber Orchestra. She is also the cellist of the Flinders Quartet.
Zoë Knighton is an honours graduate of the University of Melbourne. She studied with Michel Strauss at the Paris Conservatoire then completed a Master of Music Degree at The University of Melbourne under Christian Wojtowicz. She has performed concertos with both faculty orchestras, Geminiani Chamber Orchestra, Astra Chamber Music Society and Stonnington Symphony Orchestra.
Zoë performs duos with pianist Elyane Laussade. Engagements have included Haydn and Tavener concertos with The Melbourne Musicians and The Australian Classical Players as well as duo performances in Albury and Horsham and around Melbourne.
Zoë teaches at The University of Melbourne and in 2004 was guest lecturer at The University of Tasmania.
